The 2019 African American Caribbean Festival celebrates our unique and diverse blend of cultures by featuring everything from mini parades packed with antics, fashion and music, to an elaborate spread of authentic cuisines. Expect live performances by Florida's favorite steel pan band, RhythmTrail and Jacksonville's eclectic African Drum storytellers, NGoma Thunder. With plenty of fun and interactive kid-friendly activities, this year's festival is one you don't want to miss. The Annual Church Barbecue is back! May 3rd ~ 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and May 4th ~ 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available from Sedley Huey and members of the Men’s Club. Help us to advertise the effort to make this biggest and best Bar-B-Que this year! Rib dinners are $10.00 and Chicken Dinners are $9.00. Homemade desserts are being requested for the bake sale.

Be Still and Know.... The Bishop Weed Chapter of the Daughters of the King has planned a Quiet Morning at St. Philip’s, on March 16th beginning at 9:30 with “coffee and tasties.” What is a Quiet Morning? It is an organized time for sharing space, quiet and prayer with people in order to be quiet together, to reflect and take stock of one’s life and spiritual journey. Words, pictures, music, symbols and other things may be included, but the quiet will be the special emphasis throughout the allotted time. We will end at noon. This would be a special addition…
