YP4C (Youth Presence Ministries)
We did it St. Philip’s! Game Night and Church Without Walls Outreach were a success! Game night brought out 60 people of various ages in fellowship to play cards, board games and to be creative with arts and crafts. We were also blessed to have several invited guests. Thanks to everyone for providing games, the potluck dinner, which was so delicious;and joining in the fun. On Sunday, we enjoyed worship with the brothers and sisters who gathered there. Mother Beth Tjoflat reminded us that we are all children of God, and that we were all welcomed there no matter our status in this life. The 100 bags lunches of sandwiches (meat and cheese or PB&J), chips, dessert, fruit, and a much needed bottle of ice cold water were served by the 22 parishioners from our parish. Thank you to all that attended CWC to participate in the service and help pass out lunches including our very own Fr Denis Ford who assisted with the Eucharist. Thanks to everyone who provided and/or prepared the bagged lunches. These two activities were planned by the Youth Presence Ministry. We commend our youth involved in this ministry, assisting in the planning, giving up a Saturday night and a Sunday afternoon to serve. Thank you all again! Youth Presence Ministry Pictures of both events will be placed on the St. Philip’s Facebook page and the Youth Facebook page. Please like both pages to stay connected and view pictures. We are looking for someone or a group to head the next Game Night and Church Without Walls event. In His Name Katrina Crews
