Episcopal Church
Christian Education Program
Sunday School will reopen on Sunday, September 20th. We are asking that
parents/guardians do see to it that the children are present. Also, Adult Classes will
be held in the parish hall that same day. Fr. Denis, Mother JoAnn, and Fr. Hugh
will take turns in leading the classes. Come and be informed about your church and
what it teaches. Gathering time is 9:00 a.m.
ECW up Coming Events – September
September 2015
The ECW is sponsoring a “Blanket Drive” for our homeless brothers and sisters again this
year! Please bring your donations of new twin size blankets to church beginning September
20th. The donations will be delivered to City Rescue Mission October 19th. Thank you for
helping to support this ministry.
We have several ministries that we hope to implement before 2016. In order to do so, we
need financial support. If you have not paid your dues for 2015 please do so as soon as you
are able. Thank you Gloria Belton, ECW Treasurer.
Quarterly Parish Family Visits
On September 27th, our women will be going out to visit our sisters and brothers who we do
not see very often. If you would like to participate, please contact our Coordinator Pam
Pierce at 904-768-7124.
Prayer Group Gathering
We wish to remind parishioners that our Prayer Group continues to meet every
Monday evening in the DOK Chapel from 6:15 P.M. Come join those who gather
every week, as they intercede for our Church, our Nation and the World.

Sunday September 20, 2015, following the celebration of the Eucharist. For further

the Parish Secretary know.
Steel Pan Music
A special treat awaits us on Sunday September 27th, when two students from the
Episcopal School of Jacksonville will visit that day and showcase their talents on
the pans. Our hope is to have eventually our own pan ministry.
ICARE Listening Sessions
We begin our “house meetings” this Saturday in the parish auditorium. These
sessions allow us to review the issues we worked on before – Homelessness,
Education, Mental Health, and Youth Crime, and perhaps add other vexing
matters to the agenda. Join us at 9:30 a.m. for an hour.
