St. Philip’s Christian Formation children and youth, Outreach Ministry and our entire church
family, will partner with City Rescue Mission in collecting socks to support those in need in our
community.
While many of us are eagerly looking forward to the cooler temperature’s autumn brings, our homeless
community often experiences discomfort due to lack of clean and dry socks. The number one clothing
need for the homeless population are socks. City Rescue Mission’s goal is to provide new socks to our
brothers and sisters during the holiday season.
We are asking you to participate by dropping off packages of socks for children, youth, and adults
to the church office by Sunday, December 11, 2022. Our Sunday school children and teens will
gather at the church to pack these items to be blessed by Bishop Jay on Sunday, December 18th
for immediate delivery to the City Rescue Mission. Thank you for helping us to spread Jesus’ love
during this holiday season.
