Shrove Tuesday is the traditional feast day before the start of Lent, on Ash Wednesday. Shrove Tuesday is observed by many through participating in confession and absolution, the ritual burning of previous year’s Holy Week palms, finalizing one’s Lenten sacrifice as well as eating pancakes and other sweets.
This year, St. Philip’s is returning to their annual Pancake Supper which will be held on, Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
So come out and enjoy something sweet prior to your Lenten fast.
