Youth Confirmation Involves the Parish Family

There are six young parishioners meeting at the church on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. to prepare for Confirmation. This process involves the parish family participation. We began with prayer and will continue this prayer throughout the process:

O God, you prepared your disciples for the coming of the spirit through the teaching of your Son Jesus Christ: Make the hearts and minds of your servants Kaelyn Crews, Tarria Hinson, Cristopher Munroe, Madison Munroe, MacKenzie Munroe, and Tiana Ward, ready to receive the blessing of the Holy Spirit, that they may be filled with the strength of His presence; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The St. Philip’s family is also called to connect with and encourage these young parishioners. Participants must sample at least three ministries of the church. Set the example in your ministry to encourage their post confirmation involvement.

Participants share a small meal or snack at each session, there is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex for volunteers to provide food. Above all, include the young people in your prayers. Save the date – September 17th – for Confirmation.
